By 2015 the value of the North American beverage packaging industry is expected to be $26.3 billion. Plastic is expected to comprise over 40% of the market. Bottles are the most common container type, making up 55% of the market. Apparently, these ratios will not change significantly in the next ten years. In September, the Association for packaging and processing technologies PMMI (the U.S.) published a research report Beverage Packaging Market Assessment 2014. This is a detailed study of the trends and requirements in the North American segment of beverage packaging. Our journal brings some of the results made available publicly.
