The results of the Czech national competition Packaging of the Year were announced in early summer. This year, 67 packaging solutions entered the competition, 26 entries were honored with the Packaging of the Year 2013 Award. Concurrently, the second edition of the best packaging design contest DESIGN TOUCH was held. This year, 31 packages were submitted, of them were awarded. As Jana Lukešová, evaluation commission chairwoman, stated: „Most of the packages submitted met the given competition criteria, the differences were slight. No shooting star appeared, and that’s why the judges were cautious in their decisions. This is indicated by the number of winners compared to the total number of entries.”
