The concept of a Czech and Slovak packaging congress, which took place in Prague on November 7–8, was based on the need to organise
an expert forum where manufacturers and distributors of packages and packaging solutions could meet their customers, i.e. the manufacturers who pack. The first edition attracted nearly 300 experts, two thirds of which were the packaging end-users. After the first day when lectures and workshops were complemented by an evening cocktail and then an entertainment program, there was so-called “packing in action” event held on the next day. Interested congress participants had an opportunity to visit packaging companies Thimm Packaging and Viking Mašek.
