Glass containers are quite often labeled, whether with a wet-glue, self-adhesive, or shrink sleeve label. Glass or ceramics, however, can be decorated in other ways. In addition to printing, painting, or  etching, special types of decals are also applied. In the glass and ceramic industry, such decals are usually heat pressed or fired in a furnace after being transferred onto the surface. They are printedusing various techniques (digital, screen printing, etc.). According to the size of a decal, graphic layout of the substrate is optimized.
